“Satisfying & Truly Surprising”: Fast X Director Teases Franchise Ending

Fast and Furious 10 and 11 director Louis Leterrier has revealed that he already knows exactly how the franchise will end, calling it “satisfying and truly surprising.”

Fast X will act as the beginning of the end by introducing the franchise’s most formidable villain yet – Dante (Jason Momoa), the son of Fast Five’s Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes. Leterrier reveals that the franchise’s ending is “both sort of satisfying and truly surprising.”

Since the franchise is famously about family, it has long been speculated that the Fast Saga will end with a Toretto family barbecue. This would continue a tradition for the franchise after the first Toretto barbecue occurred in 2001’s The Fast and the Furious, and the convivial family gatherings served as the final scene for Fast & Furious 6, The Fate of the Furious, and F9. Whether it will be a happy or bittersweet ending remains to be seen, though Leterrier previously teased that Fast X and Fast 11 might kill off main characters.
