Call of Duty Servers Under DDOS Attack, Causing Long Queues

Players of Activision Blizzard games have been experiencing long login queues for due to a DDOS attack on the online servers for Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Overwatch, and other games. It is unclear when the attack began, but Blizzard’s Customer Support Twitter account reported it on 4/19/2023. Aside from the long wait queues, players have also been reporting game crashes and various connection issues.

The effects of DDOS attacks can be relatively contained or cause extensive issues that take more time to resolve. As such, players are advised to remain patient and try to use the services or play some different games until the situation is resolved. It is also recommended to change up your password once the issue is confirmed to be resolved to ensure your account is not compromised from recent events.

The best way to stay on top of the situation is to follow Blizzard Customer Support’s Twitter account for updates. It is also important to note that another DDOS attack occurred just two days ago, which is not a promising sign. These attacks could be separate or part of an ongoing coordinated cyberattack on Activision Blizzard.
